Ezra 3-7:2022

Ezra 3- Worship restored
  • 1-7- worship is restored at the approval of Cyrus King of Persia 
  • 8-9- Levite’s restored to their positions 
  • 10- Praise set in order according to King David
  • 11-VIBRANT PRAISE AND SHOUT BECAUSE FOUNDATIONS ARE LAID
  • 12-13- Some remember the old days and are sad ...always the case
Ezra 4- Resistance to rebuilding the temple
  • 1-2- Be careful who claims to want to help…deceivers 
  • 3- Stay to the task. Don’t be distracted 
  • 4-5- The enemy will go to great lengths do stop your assignments 
  • 6-11- Rebuilding of Jerusalem opposed
  • 12-16- Letters were written to persuade the king against Jerusalem 
  • 17-22- AND IT WORKS…..JUDAH WAS A THREAT 
  • 23- Those opposed to God are eager to stop the work with Authority from the king
  • 24- Work stops……
Ezra 5- Restoration of the temple Resumes
  • 1-5- The prophets cause the building to resume on a Word from God
  • 5- They work without formal permission relying on God’s favor
  • 6-16- Their statement of purpose and intent…
  • 17- With the law to back them up….
Ezra 6- Power of Legal Authorities- Decree of Darius
  • 1-2-  A legal search is made for the declaration…...this is why we search scripture ...see if and what God says about a thing. 
  • 3-5- resources set aside 
  • 6-7- Enemy must back off….
  • 8- 10- given whatever they need to accomplish the task
  • 11- Anyone who stands in the way is be destroyed utterly
  • 12- WHAT IS DECREED HAS THE BACKING OF THE ENTIRE KINGDOM
  • 13- THE KING'S EDICT MAKES EVEN OUR ENEMIES A RESOURCE 
  • 14-18- The temple completed and dedicated
  • 19- Passover kept again after many years 
  • 20-21- everything in order
  • 22- Full of joy and FAVOR from the king
Ezra 7- Arrival of Ezra
  • 1- 60 years later…
  • 2-9- Ezra’s teaching will further restore Judah to the ways of God
  • 10- His personal devotion and discipline later qualified him to minister as a priest in Jerusalem. HE HAD TRAINED ...STUDIED ...PREPARED HIS HEART FOR HIS ASSIGNMENT 
  • 11-22- Again nearly unlimited resources made available to restore the temple and Jerusalem 
  • 23-The king acknowledges God completely 
  • 24- Ministry reestablished in full
  • 25- Courts of justice restored with Ezra as head
  • 26- Going against God’s law would be ILLEGAL with Ezra as the last voice 
  • 27-28- Ezra moves FORWARD with this encouragement

Pastor Ron Moore, Jr. has been credentialed with the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) since 1987 and ordained since 2003. Ron served as a board member for numerous religious organizations as well as civic agencies in Florida and is part of a number of ministry groups in New Hampshire now.

Ron attended Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX in 1985-86, and then received his BS and MS from FSU in Atmospheric Sciences and Social Sciences and in Geography, specializing in Hurricane Climatology.
